Crown & Manor Reign Supreme
It was a clean sweep for Crown & Manor at the EABC U12 and U14 5 a side Championships held at Riverside Ice and Leisure Centre on Saturday 3rd January 2009. The U12’s competition was fiercely contested by 8 teams with the overall winners Crown & Manor defeating Island Boys Lions in the final. The U14’s competition had 9 teams entered with the final being contested by both of the Crown & Manor teams, with Crown & Manor ‘B’ eventually edging out Crown & Manor ‘A’ in a closely fought match. Grassroots Grants Available Now!!
Grassroots Grants are offering voluntary and community groups with an average turnover of less than £20,000 the opportunity for up to £5000 worth of funding for projects that benefit the community. An application form can be downloaded from www.essexcommunityfoundation.org.uk.
This is a great opportunity for clubs to update equipment, subsidise their venue rental costs or contribute towards volunteer training. Don’t miss out!
